The Cuneiform Digital Library Initiative (CDLI) represents the efforts of an international group of Assyriologists, museum curators and historians of science to make available through the internet the form and content of cuneiform tablets dating from the beginning of writing, ca. 3350 BC, until the end of the pre-Christian era. We estimate the number of these documents currently kept in public and private collections to exceed 500,000 exemplars, of which now more than 246,000 have been catalogued in electronic form by the CDLI.

The Dataverse Network is an application to publish, share, reference, extract and analyze research data. It facilitates making data available to others, and allows to replicate others work. Researchers and data authors get credit, publishers and distributors get credit, affiliated institutions get credit.
A Dataverse Network hosts multiple dataverses. Each dataverse contains studies or collections of studies, and each study contains cataloging information that describes the data plus the actual data files and complementary files.

DANA-WH is a distributed database network, comprised of multiple constituent data sets controlled by separate Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMSs) running on independent computer systems, housed at different institutions, and connected to the network. It is designed to function as a federation of distributed, interoperable databases, each with specific content of value to the study and preservation of human cultural and biological heritage.

Digital Learning Sciences, dlsciences, University Corporation for Atmospheric Research Community Programs, Institute of Cognitive Science, University of Colorado at Boulder, computer science, cognitive science, science education, user-centered design and evaluation, digital content management, machine learning, natural language processing,
Digital Learning Sciences is a mission-centered, not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving learning through the use of digital content and tools. We develop systems and services that enable science and educational organizations – universities, school districts, libraries, and publishers – to organize, manage, comprehend, and enrich online resources to improve learning outcomes and learner engagement.
DLS is a joint center of the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research Community Programs and the Institute of Cognitive Science at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Drawing on the strengths of these institutions, our research and development team combines expertise in computer science, cognitive science, science education, user-centered design and evaluation, digital content management, and machine learning/natural language processing.

Digital Library for International Research Port Site. Formerly American Overseas Digital Library.
Building on the established libraries and research collections of its twenty-three constituent centers, the Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC) in 1999 launched the American Overseas Digital Library (AODL). The AODL is as a cost-effective, efficient, centralized, Internet-based mechanism for the standardization and electronic delivery of important bibliographic and full-text primary and secondary source information from all CAORC member centers, covering both print collections and research collections in other media. The initial resources for the AODL program were located in overseas centers in Europe, the Near and Middle East, South and Southeast Asia, and West Africa. The program now includes bibliographic materials from Inner Asia and the New World, as well as from other collections in countries that host centers. To reflect this new level of participation and coverage, in November 2004 the program's name was changed to Digital Library for International Research (DLIR).
The keystone of the Digital Library for International Research, and the first of its goals to be completed, is the on-line public access catalog containing the records of all the holdings in all participating libraries. From 1999 until 2008 the DLIR's Online Catalog, was maintained at the University of Utah's Marriott Library. In 2008 it was migrated to the Center for Research Libraries, in cooperation with CRL's Global Resources Network. DLIR's catalog continues to grow rapidly as new materials are acquired and cataloged. Additional components of the DLIR program are brought online as they are completed. Please see the e-Resources page for a current list of online research resources.

Engineering Education, Center for Energy and the Global Environment, CEAGE
The objective of DLNET was to develop a Web-based collection of engineering and technology-related content targeted at the professional community so as to facilitate "lifelong learning," by engineering practitioners. DLNET will bridge the gap between cutting-edge technical development and professional practice, providing an easy and efficient way to collect, review, package and deliver information from "the knowledge developer" to "the end user".

The Digital Library of Georgia is a gateway to Georgia's history and culture found in digitized books, manuscripts, photographs, government documents, newspapers, maps, audio, video, and other resources.
The Digital Library of Georgia connects users to a million digital objects in more than 200 collections from 60 institutions and 100 government agencies. Though this represents only a fraction of Georgia's cultural treasures, the Digital Library of Georgia continues to grow through its partnerships with libraries, archives, museums, government agencies, and allied organizations across the state.
Based at the University of Georgia Libraries, the Digital Library of Georgia is an initiative of GALILEO, the state's virtual library.

The Digital Library of the Commons (DLC) is a gateway to the international literature on the commons. The DLC provides free and open access to full-text articles, papers, and dissertations. This site contains an author-submission portal; an Image Database; the Comprehensive Bibliography of the Commons; a Keyword Thesaurus, and links to relevant reference sources on the study of the commons.
The commons is a general term for shared resources in which each stakeholder has an equal interest. Studies on the commons include the information commons with issues about public knowledge, the public domain, open science, and the free exchange of ideas -- all issues at the core of a direct democracy.
