The NASA-sponsored Telescopes In Education (TIE, http://tie.jpl.nasa.gov) project has been wildly successful in engaging the K-12 education community in real-time, hands-on, interactive astronomy activities. Hundreds of schools in the US, Australia, Canada, England, and Japan have participated in the TIE program, remotely controlling the 24-inch telescope at the Mount Wilson Observatory from their classrooms. In recent years, several (approximately 20 to date) other telescopes have been, or are in the process of being, outfitted for remote use as TIE affiliates.

nuclear issues, nuclear, Manhattan Project, science, technology, international relations,
Nuclear Pathways makes information on historic and current nuclear issues more accessible and comprehensible to the public, educators, and students from middle school through graduate programs. Beginning with the Manhattan Project, the massive scientific and technological effort that produced the first atomic bombs, nuclear issues have had a profound effect on every aspect of society. Nuclear issues have influenced the evolution of science and technology, arts and humanities, as well as the domestic politics of many nations and international relations.

<p>Earth Exploration Toolbook</p>
<p><a href="http://serc.carleton.edu/eet/index.html">http://serc.carleton.edu/eet/index.html</a></p>
Geoscience, Earth, Space, Science, education, curriculums,
The Earth Exploration Toolbook is a collection of computer-based Earth science activities. Each activity, or chapter, introduces one or more data sets and an analysis tool that enables users to explore some aspect of the Earth system.
Step-by-step instructions in each chapter walk users through an example — a case study in which they access data and use analysis tools to explore issues or concepts in Earth system science. In the course of completing a chapter, users produce and analyze maps, graphs, images, or other data products. The ultimate goal of each activity is to build user's skills and confidence so they can use data to conduct their own investigations of the Earth system.

Engineering Education, Center for Energy and the Global Environment, CEAGE
The objective of DLNET was to develop a Web-based collection of engineering and technology-related content targeted at the professional community so as to facilitate "lifelong learning," by engineering practitioners. DLNET will bridge the gap between cutting-edge technical development and professional practice, providing an easy and efficient way to collect, review, package and deliver information from "the knowledge developer" to "the end user".

<p>Digital Learning Sciences: Transforming digital content into learning</p>
<p><a title="http://dlsciences.org/index.html" href="http://dlsciences.org/index.html">http://www.dlsciences.org/</a></p>
Digital Learning Sciences, dlsciences, University Corporation for Atmospheric Research Community Programs, Institute of Cognitive Science, University of Colorado at Boulder, computer science, cognitive science, science education, user-centered design and evaluation, digital content management, machine learning, natural language processing,
Digital Learning Sciences is a mission-centered, not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving learning through the use of digital content and tools. We develop systems and services that enable science and educational organizations – universities, school districts, libraries, and publishers – to organize, manage, comprehend, and enrich online resources to improve learning outcomes and learner engagement.
DLS is a joint center of the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research Community Programs and the Institute of Cognitive Science at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Drawing on the strengths of these institutions, our research and development team combines expertise in computer science, cognitive science, science education, user-centered design and evaluation, digital content management, and machine learning/natural language processing.
